The Australian Space Industry Capability Database has officially been launched! The Australian Space Industry Capability Database is built and managed by the Space Industry Association of Australia with the support of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), the Australian Space Agency, the Department of Defence, and SmartSat Cooperative Research Centre. It is the authoritative information source on companies active in Australia’s space industry and an important resource for international investors and partners looking to engage with the Australian space sector. The Australian Space Industry Capability Database will provide a national resource that will inform and track industry development and contribute to the growth of the Australian space industry in accordance with the 2030 revenue and employment targets established by government. The database provides interactive data visualisations that demonstrate the scale and capability of the Australian space sector, including capability data, workforce data and detailed company profiles. Reporting from the database will inform government space policy. The database is available to access at https://www.space.org.au/. New users will need to register and create an account to access the information available on the Australian Space Industry Capability Database and to apply for a company profile on the database. The database is free to access, with users able to submit information on their company’s space capability through the website for validation and approval by the SIAA team.
We look forward to continuing to grow Australia’s space sector and to providing better insights on the space sector to government, academia, industry, and international partners. Should you have any questions on the database, or how your company can be listed, please contact operations@spaceindustry.com.au.
