POSTED BY Team

Tori Murray serves as the Senior Aviation and Space Manager at Canberra Airport. In this role, Tori oversees aviation operations, ensures compliance with government regulations, and collaborates with industry partners, including space-enabling organisations, to enhance the airport’s advanced aerospace ecosystem.

Tori has extensive experience in project management and infrastructure delivery, having held several roles at Canberra Airport between 2004 and 2014, including Business Development Manager and Head of Property. Following this period, Tori joined the New South Wales Police Force as a sworn officer. Utilising the academic knowledge she gained from completing a Master of Arts in Intelligence Analysis and a Master of Security and Terrorism Studies, Tori became a qualified Field Intelligence Officer, a role that leveraged Earth observation technologies.

Seeing space as a significant intelligence enabler, in 2022, Tori completed a Master of Space Operations through the University of New South Wales AFDA campus. In completing this degree, Tori gained a detailed understanding of the technical, strategic and economic drivers required to conceive, design, and operate spacecraft within the rapidly changing global space sector. In 2023 Tori re-joined Canberra Airport to undertake her existing role.  Tori is currently pursuing a research degree at UNSW Canberra with a focus on enhancing airspace protection. Her research is centred on developing novel multimodal sensor fusion technologies for detecting UAVs. Tori also sits on the AmCham Governors Council for the ACT.
