Anntonette Dailey

Anntonette Dailey is a chartered engineer and brings more than 18 years senior executive capability, working across the private sector, multiple Government agencies, not for profit and consultancies.

She has a ministerial appointment to the Defence Council of Victoria where she advises the Victorian Government on strategies to develop and sustain Victoria’s defence and space industry capabilities. She is also a Board member for Aviation Aerospace Australia and the Space Industry Association of Australia.

Anny advises a number of businesses to expand their footprint in the Australian space industry, mentoring start-ups and supporting the next generation of STEM leadership. She recently completed a Masters of National Security Policy where she was recently awarded an ANU-National Intelligence Community scholarship. Anny is currently completing in a Phd in Political Science and International Relations, focusing on technology in the Pacific.

Proudly, Anntonette is an Elevate Scholar and a 2025-26 Superstar of STEM.

As a vocal proponent of diversity, Anny has been a natural advocate of supporting all forms of diversity, inclusion and equity. She has and proudly built teams with this as a central value. In 2024, Anntonette was a co-founder and inaugural chair for the Australian Space Diversity Alliance.

She is also the co-author of a 2024 Engineers Australia Policy Paper: Growing and Sustaining Australia’s Space Engineering Capability and Competency, Deputy Chair of the National Committee for Space Engineering and Canberra Division Committee.

Anntonette was previously the Executive Director at the Australian Space Agency, having commenced as part of the inaugural leadership team in 2018 with responsibilities similar to a chief operating officer.

Anny’s leadership and passion were recognised by AFR as one of Australia’s 100 most Influential Women and as young graduate of the year by the University of Technology, Sydney. She was a finalist in 2023 for the Space Professional of the Year and a 2024 finalist for Mentor of the Year and ACT Professional Engineer of the Year

As a mother to Skye (8) and Flynn (3), Anny enjoys caravanning, renovating, rugby union, netball and car racing.

The Space Industry of Australia (SIAA)

The Space Industry of Australia is the national peak body for the space industry in Australia,
representing more than 600 members. Formed in 1992, SIAA hosted the 2017 International Astronautical
Congress in Adelaide which led to the establishment of the Australian Space Agency in 2018. SIAA and
its member companies work closely with Australian governments, international partners, academia, and
industry to advance Australia’s space industry and economy.
