M2M Program – one day left to contribute to the SIAA submission
As we advised last week, the Australian Space Agency is currently conducting a series of consultations seeking feedback and input on the design of the $150 million Moon to Mars program and grant opportunities. We are seeking input from our members with respect to the Consultation Paper. Your input will be used to develop an SIAA submission. This work will be conducted by our Legislation Working Group, led by Mr Bill Barrett.
What is the Moon to Mars Program?
This initiative is a $150 million investment over five years, which will:
- provide an opportunity to showcase to the world Australia’s best ideas and technologies that can support space missions to the Moon and on to Mars
- fuel the growth of Australian businesses so they can thrive in international space supply chains that support Moon to Mars activities
- create jobs and support the transformation of industries across Australia
The Agency is seeking consideration of the proposed objectives, delivery framework and potential areas of investment which will develop Australia’s industry and inspire the public.
You are encouraged to provide your input both through the SIAA and individually direct to the Agency.
How to provide your input to the SIAA submission
A submission form is available here – please provide your input in the sections provided (you can leave sections blank if you wish, and you can also save the form and come back to it later). At the end of the form you also have the option to upload a document if you have comments or feedback not covered by the questions.
We strongly encourage you to have your say on this important initiative, which will influence the future direction of our industry. Your input for the SIAA submission must be received by COB Friday, 28 February, as submissions are due to the Agency on 6 March.
