James Brown – newly appointed CEO of the SIAA

On Monday, 12 October 2020 our newly appointed Chief Executive Officer joined the Space Industry Association of Australia. It is with great pleasure that David Ball, chair of the SIAA, announces the appointment of Mr James Brown to this critical role for our organisation.

The CEO will facilitate the growth of the space industry in Australia, and be the leading national voice for participants at all levels of the Australian space industry. James will take the operational lead for the SIAA, working closely with the Board to create and execute our organisational strategy and more importantly, deliver value to our members. A key objective of this role will be to drive growth for the SIAA and more broadly, for the space sector as a whole.

The Space Industry of Australia (SIAA)

The Space Industry of Australia is the national peak body for the space industry in Australia,
representing more than 600 members. Formed in 1992, SIAA hosted the 2017 International Astronautical
Congress in Adelaide which led to the establishment of the Australian Space Agency in 2018. SIAA and
its member companies work closely with Australian governments, international partners, academia, and
industry to advance Australia’s space industry and economy.
