The ANGELS Project Website Launch
September 2 - 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm
After six months of development, the ANGELS website will be launched by South Australia’s Deputy Premier and Attorney-General, Vickie Chapman, MP.
Please join us for the launch and a short seminar on brand new laws for the Australian space industry, followed by drinks.
The ‘Australian Navigational Guide Explaining Laws for Space’ will facilitate the growth and development of the incredibly vibrant space industry in Australia by providing a practical, web-based resource for entrepreneurs and others seeking to ‘navigate’ the legal and regulatory framework applicable to their space activities. In the course of their research, they met with over 30 space entrepreneurs in six Australian cities to ensure that the website meets the needs of new and established enterprises in the space industry.
The ANGELS website will answer questions related to:
* What licenses do I need to launch a satellite and how do I get them?
* How do I protect my intellectual property?
* What are export control laws? How do I get an export permit?
* What if I need to arrange a launch overseas?
The ANGELS team will introduce the ANGELS website and provide a ‘101’ on the fundamentals of space law and regulation, including an introduction to the new Space (Launches and Returns) Act 2018 that commences on 31 August 2019. We look forward to seeing you there!
