Energy Conversations: Carbon-Neutral Fuels for Aerospace (Webinar)

Professor Wojciech Lipinski will explain new ways of creating carbon-neutral fuels for rockets and jets using solar energy.  This includes making hydrogen from renewables, as well as other sustainable fuels.  Prof Lipinski will be joined by panellists who work in different aspects of aviation and aerospace:

Speakers:

Prof. Lipinski, a member of the Energy Change Institute, is Leader of the ANU Solar Thermal Group in the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences.

Dr Philbrook works in business development at the Australian Renewable Energy Agency. She is a chemical engineer with a PhD in chemistry and has experience in academia, industry and government. Her current focus is identifying and developing opportunities in the renewable hydrogen and bioenergy sectors. Her expertise in alternative fuels stems from her time at the Australian National University as the Principle Investigator of the Biofuels Research Cluster in the CSIRO’s Energy Transformed Flagship. Amy currently sits on the Queensland Government’s Biofutures Industry Reference group and is a Board Director at Bioenergy Australia.

Agata Jozwicka-Perlant is Head of New Customers & Services – Future Programs Team, in Vernon, France with Ariane Group, an aviation and aerospace company. Ariane’s activities cover the entire life-cycle of a launcher: design, development, production, operation and commercial service.

Bruno Goirand is Project manager in Liquid Propulsion with Ariane Group.
