CSIRO Ground Stations and Space Forum
CSIRO have several decades of experience in managing ground station infrastructure to support space projects through world recognised national and international collaborations. Some historical sites in Australia that are still in operation, and which have evolved over the years, include the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex at Tidbinbilla and the Parkes radio-telescope. However, most recent engagements have included New Norcia in WA and satellite projects including NovaSAR and CSIROSat-1.
While the main focus of this event is to share CSIRO’s national ground station capability to support space technology it is also being undertaken to highlight existing collaborations, and promote future ones, including those with other government agencies, universities and start-up ventures to help identify gaps and grow the space industry in Australia in accordance with CSIRO’s Space Industry Roadmap – 18-00349_SER-FUT_SpaceRoadmap_WEB_180904.
Please come along to hear key presentations and be engaged in exciting Q&A and discussions with some of the most highly experienced professionals in these sectors.
